St. Astvatsatsin Kathoghike Church

Holy Mother of God Kathoghike Church is a small medieval church in the Kentron District of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.

The Katoghike Church’s surviving structure dates to 1264, based on inscriptions carved on one of its walls. After the earthquake that struck Yerevan in 1679, a sizable basilica with the name of the Holy Mother of God was constructed between 1693 and 1695.
